Lisbon Trip Overview
Travel to Fátima throughout Ribatejo farmland. Experience to live as a pilgrim in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima,a legendary and important Christian place located at Cova da Iria. The city has become one of the most important international destinations for religious tourism, receiving approximately 6 million visitors a year. In Fatima we will have time to visit all the important places that make this Sanctuary such an emblematic place. Interesting sights as part of the Berlin Wall, a holm oak where Our Lady appeared to the 3 little shepherds (Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco), as well as attending Mass at the Chapel of Apparitions, will make this a real pilgrimage experience. After lunch, which although not included our guide does not hesitate to recommend some good places, our visit goes to Valinhos, where the 3 children saw the Angel of Portugal while they were herding their flocks. We head to Hungarian Calvary, ending our visit to Fatima at Sister Lucia’s House (entrance included).

The pedestal with an original sculpture of Our Lady of Fatima marks the exact spot where a small holm oak tree stood over someone who believes that the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the three shepherds – Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta – May 13, June, July, September and October 1917. Here you can attend to a Mass.

The Hungarian Calvary has a chapel, dedicated to Saint Stephen, king of Hungary. The fourteen stations of the cross- and the chapel were offered by Hungarian Catholics, refugees in the West, after the Soviet invasion.
Between the eighth and ninth stations of the Way of the Cross, stands the Chapel built on the place where the fourth apparition of Our Lady occurred on August 19, 1917.
