Lisbon Trip Overview
Prepare your intellectual spirit and adventurous soul. I will guide you through a carefully chosen selection of monuments and sites. The goal is to experience why Sintra has proved to be so captivating for lovers, royals and storytellers on the past centuries. Upon arrival, we’ll start with a soft hike on the magical Pena Park, that offers exotic plant species from different continents and hidden temples. we’ll then marvel with the mix of architectural styles (Moorish, Manueline and Gothic) of Pena Palace exterior (we will not visit the interior). After lunch, I’ll invite you to taste the famous local pastry (Travesseiro). You can’t skip it! We’ll then head into Quinta da Regaleira, a place full of symbols which refers to Hermeticism, Alchemy, Greek Mythology and more. We’ll explore fountains, grottos, initiation wells and a network of secret tunnels. The “cherry on top” of this day trip, is the visit to Cabo da Roca, the western most point of continental Europe.

Stop At: Park and National Palace of Pena, Estrada da Pena, Sintra 2710-609 Portugal
First stop is on top of Sintra Mountain for 1h30m. Upon arrival, we’ll hike on the Pena Park that surrounds the Palace. It offers a luxuriant and exotic vegetation, based on the romanticism of 19th century. Already in the Pena Palace, we’ll explore its terraces and the XVI century chapel, while having a permanent dialogue with the best views of Lisbon and the sublime.

We will then drive down to the unique Sintra village, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1995

Still in Sintra, on the way to the ocean, we will explore Quinta da Regaleira, and discover probably the most mysterious gardens and constructions in Europe. A place full of symbols which refers to the Knights Templars, Alchemy, Greek Mythology and more. Exploring fountains, grottos, initiation wells and a network of secret tunnels, We will explain the whole concept of the site.
