Sandton Trip Overview
Bring your legs and enjoy a 10km hike through the natural environment of the Magaliesberg Mountains with our passionate guide.The hike is situated a mere 45 minutes drive from Johannesburg within a natural biosphere where you will learn about the indigenous fauna and flora of the area.The hike starts with a slow meander along the River where you will get to warm up your legs for the upward part of the hike.But not before we take you to visit the ‘Hospital Cave’,a makeshift hospital used by the Boers in their war with the British in the early 1900’s. We then cross a suspension bridge and make our way into the mountains.The hike is follows a circular route.Our fully comprehensive tour includes not only the hotel pick up, transfers and guide but a complimentary picnic ‘South African’style half way into the hike.Although the hike covers 10km with an altitude gain of 400m,there are several ‘escape routes’ that we can access should you feel that you are not up for the full hike.
