Phalaborwa Trip Overview

Starting from the central northern region working our way down slowly to the Southern eastern region.
You will see how the Kruger terrain changes from dense Mopani thickets filled with elephant and buffalos to the open savannah of Satara where huge lion prides, cheetah and leopards stalk the many herds of impala, buffalo, wildebeest and zebra that can be seen at great distances.
After a delicious lunch at the Satara restaurant we will make way to Orpen, known for its great sightings of honey badgers, bird of prey species and even the elusive pangolins are seen in this part of the park.

We enter in Phalaborwa gate heading to Letaba for our 1st stop

Stop At: Letaba Elephant Hall, Letaba Rest camp Phalaborwa Gate, Letaba 0870 South Africa
We take our guests to our first stop at Letaba rest camp to view the Elephant museum before heading to our next camp.

After Our stop at Letaba we head down for Lunch at Satara Rest camp for lunch
Satara Camp, located in the Centre of the Kruger National Park in South Africa, stakes its reputation on being one of the best spots in the world for viewing Lion, leopard and cheetah, because of the fertile grazing land found in the area which attracts vast herds of antelope.

Stop At: Orpen Rest Camp, South Africa
After Lunch and a long drive through the Park we head through to our final camp Orpen Main Rest Camp which is situated in the central region on the western border of the Kruger National Park. It is a small main camp and serves as an entrance gate to the central region. The scattered trees and wide-open plains covered by sweet grass attract many browsers; this in turn attracts the eye-catching Cheetah, Lion and Leopard, to Orpen’s Kruger National Park accommodation and lodging. Rabelais Dam is 7km (4.5 miles) from the rest camp.
We exit Orpen camp and take a 1 hour transfer back to Phalaborwa passing by Hoedspruit on the way back.
