Itinerary
Day 1: Cape Winelands
Stop At: Stellenbosch Vineyards, R310 Baden Powell Drive, Stellenbosch 7599 South Africa
We collect you in the morning from your hotel in Cape Town and then take you to Paarl and Franschhoek where we will sample some fine wine at selected wine estates. After this we will enjoy lunch at one of the famous restaurants in Franschhoek. The afternoon is spent exploring Stellenbosch with all its attractions before we head over the mountains to the seaside town of Hermanus where you will overnight.

Day 2: Boat Based Whale Watching
Stop At: Hermanus, Hermanus, Overstrand, Overberg District, Western Cape
After a good breakfast we make our way to the New Harbour where we board a vessel that will take us out into Walker Bay to locate and to view Southern Right Whales in their natural environment. On this trip you will literally come to within meters of these magnificent giants of the ocean, it is truly a memorable experience. After your Boat Based Whale encounter a good lunch at one of the most unique restaurants in the world, Bientang’s Cave is highly recommended. Hermanus has many attractions and your afternoon is spent exploring this unique coastal town with its wonderful cliff walks, markets and museums. Your hotel is located in the centre of town with many great restaurants to choose from for dinner.

Day 3: Overnight Safari
Stop At: Karoo National Park, Beaufort West 6970 South Africa
We depart from Harbour House Hotel after Breakfast and make our way over the mountains to the Klein Karoo, travelling through the Hex River Valley to a Private Game Reserve. Arriving at Aquila at noon you will enjoy lunch in the boma after which you can relax around the pool. Your evening Safari Drive is at 17h00 and you will be taken into the bush to meet the wildlife, this normally takes around three hours. The evening is spent doing dinner in the main dining boma and then a sky safari with local astronomer who will point out the features of the southern Milky Way.

Day 4: Scenic Route to Cape Town
Stop At: Tulbagh, 6820, South Africa
You are woken early by your ranger for the morning game drive, which takes more or less the same amount of time as the evening drive! If you missed any of the animals the night before then this is your chance to see them. Coffee is enjoyed in the bush before you return for a wonderful breakfast. We depart Aquila at around 10h30 and follow a completely different route back to Cape Town. On the trip back we have an opportunity to sample some excellent wine with plenty of scenic beauty and mountain passes! Lunch will be at the historical town of Tulbagh with some excellent wine tasting at Saronsberg estate. We arrive in Cape Town in the late afternoon.
