Day 1: Cape Of Good hope and boulders penguin beach tour

Stop At: Bo-kaap, Cape Town Central South Africa
In the beginning of the tour. You will have the pleasure of making a short stop at the famous brightly colored Bo-kaap. Formerly known as Malay quarter. Bokaap is the oldest mixed race neighborhood in Cape town. Besides the colorful houses, Bo-kaap offers a lot more than what meets the eye. You will be able to walk around as well as take pictures while your guide unpacks the history of this national heritage site.

Pass By: Bantry Bay, Bantry Bay, Western Cape

A meer 3 kilometers from Clifton is Camps bay suburb and Camps bay beach. Known as the Beverly hills of Cape Town, Not many places in the world offers such views as the ones witnessed here. Stop At: Duiker Island, Hout Bay South Africa
Duiker Island is 10 nautical mile away from Hout bay harbor. A boat from here will take on an optional scenic 40 minutes long round tour to Duiker island which is home to more than 4000 Cape fur seals

Stop At: Chapman’s Peak Drive, Hout Bay Road Between Noordhoek and Hout Bay, 7872 South Africa
The Chapman’s peak drive was chiseled out of the Chapman’s peak mountains between 1915 and 1925 to link Hout bay with the south peninsular towns. Locally simply known as Chapies. This 9km long mountain side road meanders along gigantic and steep mountains that drops into the Atlantic ocean. Various view points gives you an opportunity to stop, soak in the beauty and take photos.

Situated at the southern end of the world famous Chapman’s peak drive and in the heart of the lush retirement village of Noordhoek. The farm village is home to The village roast. A to go coffee shop that boast of the best roasted coffee in the area. Other than coffee, there are some raw juices of different flavors as well as small shops selling locally made crafts and other South African bric-a-bracs.

shortly before you venture into the Cape of good hope national park. You will drive past an ostrich farm where if needs be, can make a quick stop to take photos of Africa’s biggest and flightless bird.

Stop At: Cape Point Nature Reserve, Cape Town Central South Africa
Cape point nature reserve is a 7700 hectares big park and a part of the Cape floral kingdom. A world heritage site and the smallest of the world’s 6 floral kingdom which however has more plant and rare species than the other five combined. This is also home to Cape point light house as well as the Cape of good hope. Here you could also be fortunate to encounter wildlife.

Stop At: Old Cape Point Lighthouse, Cape Point Nature Reserve, Cape Point South Africa
A paved alley from Cape point car park takes you over 600m to the 3rd oldest lighthouse in the country.Great views of the national park can be seen from here. Launched in 1960.The Cape point lighthouse was however decommissioned in 1919 as new evidence proved that sailors couldn’t see it in cloudy conditions so a new light house at a lower elevation was constructed. A funicular is available at own cost for guest who might not be in the mood to walk.

Muizenberg beach is a well known surfing beach.The famous colourful changing huts on the beach also makes for great photo taking.Here you will have your last photo stop before the journey carries on to Cape town for the curtain call.

Day 2: Robben Island,Table mountain and Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden Tour

Stop At: Robben Island Museum, Cape Town Central 7400 South Africa
Robben Island is dutch for seal Island.The Island was named after its seal population around the time the dutch settlers arrived at the Cape in the 17th century.Eversince then,the Island has served as a dutch settler residence,Lepper colony as well as a prison for criminals and then later,political prisoners.Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his 27 years behind bars for fighting against insitutionalised inequality in South Africa.The tour on the Island is conducted by former prisoners on the Island.Besides visiting the former cells in which Nelson Mandela was incacerated visitors will also be taken on a sightseeing drive about on the Island where they can have some of the best views of table mountain.

Table Mountain is one of the seven wonders of nature.A flat top mountain standing at a height of 1186m above sea level.The summit of this mountain makes it a perfect a vantage point with jaw dropping 360 degree views of the entire Cape town.A 65 person capacity cable car with a rotating floor runs horizontaly between the lower cable station and the upper station.Table mountain is also part of the Cape floral Kingdom.The richest floral kingdom in the world.There are more that 2500 different plant speacies on table mountain alone than in the entire British isles.Wildlife that can be encountered at table mountain Includes Lizards,Dassies,Antelopes,Caracals and abundant birldlife.

Kirstenbosch botanical garden is home to the richest floral Kingdom in the world.Tucked up on the rear slopes of Table mountain.It is the only botanical garden in the world established to protect a country’s unique flora.The over a 100 years old garden is half cultivated and another half natural.Popular with summer sunday concerts,this place also makes a great place for picnics.The tree canopy walk way is also one of the most favourite sites in the garden.Made of wood and iron,the tree canopy walk way meanders over the garden giving visitors a 360 view of the garden and the dramatic backdrop of the back side of the Table moutnain.

Day 3: Cape Winelands and Wine tasting Tour

Stop At: Jordan Wine Estate, Stellenbosch Kloof Rd Vlottenburg, Stellenbosch 7604 South Africa
From the Jordan hillside vineyards, one has spectacular panoramic views of Table Mountain, False Bay and Stellenbosch. Gary and Kathy worked internationally for two years, refining their high-energy instincts with practical experience. They returned home to build a cellar in 1992.

The following year, the vines were judged ready for making wines that would carry the Jordan name. From that first year, it was obvious that a new star had been added to the winemaking firmament. Continuing success has enlarged the team, with the focus on producing fiercely individual wines that combine the fruity accessibility of the New World with the classic elegance of the old.

Our tour guide will direct you to the wine tasting area where you will meet a sommelier whom will take you on your first wine experience of the day.Wine products here ranges from rose to white and dominant reds.

Stellenbosch is the second oldest city in South Africa after Cape Town.Situated 45 minutes north east of Cape Town at the foot of the rugged Jonkershoek mountains,the quaint capital city of South African wine is graced by English oaks,national monument buildings,shops,restaurants,meuseams and African craft markets.Here your guide will give you an opportunity to explore this historical city on foot before you carry on to another winery for your second tasing of the day

Lanzerac is one of the oldest wineries in South Africa.The first winery to bottle a South Arican native wine called pinotage.While you are here you will be treated to a wine and chocolate pairing.Here you will also have an opportunity to visit the wine cellar and meet with the wine maker.

Stop At: Franschhoek, Franschhoek, Western Cape
Franschhoek can be loosely translated to French corner.An area which was given to the French huggenots of the 1680s to grow vineyards.Surrounded by the Drakenstein mountains,when you are in Franschhoek,you could be anywhere in the world.Colonial whitewashed buildings graces the vibrant streets of the food capital city of South Africa.A behive of shopping,Beligian chocolate tasting and ofcause,the best place to have lunch!

Stop At: Haute Cabriere, Lambrechts Road, Franschhoek 7690 South Africa
The farm dates back to 22 December 1694 when the French Huguenot Pierre Jourdan was granted a piece of land in Olifantshoek, today known as Franschhoek, which he decided to name after his home town Cabrière.In the early 1980’s Achim von Arnim, then still Cellar Master at Boschendal, purchased a portion of this land. His vision firmly set on the idea of producing wines in the style of the Champagne region.A few years later, Achim discovered another piece of land, now known as Haute Cabrière, on the slopes of the Franschhoek Mountains, which reflected a similar type of terroir as Burgundy in France.Haute Cabrière, grew to encompass a beautifully serene underground cellar built into the side of Franschhoek Mountain, which Achim opened in 1994, exactly 300 years after Pierre Jourdan had been granted Cabrière.

This is where Nelson Mandela made his famous long walk to freedom for the last time when he was released from prison on the 11th of February 1990 after 27 years of imprisonement.You will have an oportunity to stop by and take pictures with the lifetime sized bronze statue of this great man with his fist clenched into the air.

Day 4: Aquila Safari

Stop At: Touws River, Touws River, Western Cape
Touws river is a small town in the klein karoo (semi arid) region of the western cape.A two hour drive from Cape town provides visitors from Cape town a chance at discovering Africa’s big 5.After the 3 hour long game drive and an inclusive lunch,visitors could opt to visit the body spa at the same premises or just take a dip in the swimming pool before they are driven back to Cape town.
