Itinerary

Day 1: Cape Town City Tour

Your Cape Town tour startswith meeting your guide and driver at your hotel. We take you through iconic sites of Cape Town which includes the famous Table Mountain, Bo Kaap, Company Gardens, City Hall( where Nelson Mandela addressed his first speech after release from prison)

Day 2: Cape Penisula

Full day Cape Peninsula tour will take us along the very scenic Chapman’s Peak past Camp’s Bay and some of the country’s affluent coastal mansions. We will have spots to take some pictures as well. Cape Point is our destination today, See the spectacular sight of Cape Point’s towering rock cliffs, the lighthouse which is situated 238m above sea level- you go with a lift, over 250 species of birdlife, baboons, bucks and the Cape Mountain Zebra. Explore the Cape of Good Hope, a world-renowned landmark, and monuments in honour of two of the world’s most famous explorers – Vasco da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias.

On our way back we pass through Simon’s Town- trip to Boulders Beach you will not forget – one of the only places in the world that you can swim alongside penguins. Boulders Beach has grown rapidly to over 3000 penguins since only two breeding Jackass penguins settled in that arrived from Dyer Island, near Gansbaai. Simon’s Town is the seat of the SA Navy, and has a charming coastal town atmosphere and a vibrant history. Here you can find a thriving harbour, The Warrior Toy Museum and The South African Navy Museum. View the frigates and submarines from a distance that are docked at the Naval Base harbour.

We proceed to Kalk Bay-the quirky seaside village runs along the Main Road, with the False Bay coastline running on one side, and the mountain on the other. Along the Main Road lies a host of veritable treasure troves, from antique shops to costume shops, cobbled streets, vintage bookstores, bakeries, the famous Brass Bell restaurant and plenty more. The area is also excellent for whale watching during whale season (June to November).

Our final stop is the iconic, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, one of ten botanical gardens in Africa, offer visitors a haven of peace and serenity at the foot of the Devil’s Peak mountain. Let yourself be enchanted and your senses roam free in the sights, smells and sounds of this luscious forest. Kirstenbosch offers weekly concerts, picnic spots, rolling lawns and streams, hiking trails and indigenous plants.

Day 3: Shark Cage Diving

Stop At: Hermanus Cliff Path, Westcliff Rd, Hermanus, Overstrand 7200 South Africa
An early departure as we head for Hermanus, regarded as the whale watching capital of South Africa and there are few better ways to see these gentle giants in their natural environment than on a boat based whale watching trip. The tours are operated from the New Harbour in Hermanus and departs 3 to 4 times daily depending on the time of year and weather and sea conditions. The permit issued to the operators entitles them to approach the whales up to 50m and then stop, allowing the whales to decide whether to approach the boat or not. Being curious they normally approach the boat and enjoy a quick peek at their visitors. This is an experience to be treasured.

The peak whale season runs from June to mid December, annually. The exact date all depends when the star performers arrive and depart. All Ages are Welcome. Our Whale Specialist guide will interpret the marine life encountered en route and provide insight into the behaviour of the whales while you are watching them in action

We wrap up the day with a drive back to the hotel.

Day 4: Cape Winelands

Stop At: Cape Winelands District Municipality, Cape Winelands District Municipality, Western Cape
Be the wine sommelier for a day as you visit multiple vineyards for tastings accentuated by cheese. Along with an insight into the art & craft of winemaking, explore picturesque towns along the Western Cape to explore museums, monuments, institutions and churches.

Day 5: Airport Transfer
