Itinerary

We start our day with a visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens where we will enjoy a leisurely walk and absorb the splendor of the gardens, situated against the backdrop of Table Mountain. We visit Groot Constantia Wine Estate, one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa dating back to 1685. We will do a guided historical tour of the homestead and sample Groot Constantia’s award winning wines. Our next wine tasting will be at Steenberg Wine Estate the Cape’s first farm established in 1682. Steenberg produces some of the finest Sauvignon Blanc and Methode Cap Classique in South Africa. We will enjoy lunch at the Bistro Sixteen82. We drive via the “Ou Kaapse Weg” to Noordhoek (The Northern Corner) where we will visit Cape Point Vineyards for our last wine tasting of the day. A unique farm in Noordhoek where vines are lazily nestled between mountains and ocean. Cool breezes from the sea make for a slow growing season, with a late harvest that results in a truly unique Sauvignon Blanc that is recognised across the globe for it’s rich minerality, structure and tone. We leave the estate and head home via the scenic Chapman’s peak Drive.
