Khwa-ttu San Cultural Village dedicated to the history, livelihoods, challenges and successes of all San groups in S. Africa. The exhibition follows the San mandate of telling their story in words post, present and future in beautiful farm buildings named – ( The First People and Encounters until now the present ). Themes range from story telling to human origins, rock art, colonial encounters and current community initiatives. Join one of the guided tours to enjoy a first-hand account by a natural-born San of San Life then and now. These extraordinary peoples were world renowned for their skills for tracking and are the one if only people who can track spoor over all kinds of various terrain and that includes solid rock, they were used extensively in the Angolan Counter Insurgency units as trackers for the South African defence force for their uncanny skills in tracking, considered the finest in the world even today.

Langebaan is a town in the Western Cape Province of South Africa on the eastern shore of Langebaan Lagoon.
Langebaan is situated 120 km north of Cape Town, just off the R27, about 28 km from Vredenburg and 20 km from Saldanha Bay. The Lagoon stretches for 17 km from Saldanha Bay, past Langebaan to Geelbek in the South. In places it is up to 4 km wide
The Langebaan Lagoon was formed by the rising and falling of sea levels during pre-historic times. This is unlike most lagoons which form where fresh water rivers enter the sea. As a result, Langebaan Lagoon is purely a salt water lagoon.
As far back as 500 000 years ago, early Homo sapiens were probably present in the area, living in groups and hunting small game, displacing carnivores, such as lions, from their kills and gathering plant foods. They made fire as protection and for cooking and probably made simple shelters from branches. António de Saldanha, from Portugal after whom the bay is named, did not enter those waters at all.

This beautiful bay situated north of Sandana Bay has the most unspoilt beach which to this day retains the typical , warm West Coast idyllic holiday for fishing and surfing particularly in the summer months. A settlement in the North Western Cape Province of S. Africa was founded as a small town on the on the farm registered as 109 Jacobsbaai.. Said to be named after the frenchman Jacques Tittius a colonial trader in the west coast. Titiesbaai is named after him. Today it remains the perfect place to settle in a magnificent environment for those seeking peace and tranquility in their lives

St. Helena Bay is located on the West Coast Way Foodie Route. The actual bay of St Helena stretches from Dwarskersbos in the north, past Shelley Point peninsula, to Cape St Martin in the west, traversing a total of 18 bays with intriguing names such as Hannasbaai and Vioolbaai, each with its own unique attractions. The very revered Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama first set foot on the African Continent on 7th November 1497. The bay was named Bahia de Saint Helena after Saint Helena a devout christian During his brief stay of 8 days the Portuguese explorer and the local Khoikhoi became involved in a skirmish wounding da Gama Today St Helena Bay is home to the fishing industry and has the largest concentration of fishing factories which provide more than half of the fish produced in South Africa annually. These factories are distributed along the south-western coast of the bay and include communities like Stompneus Bay, West Point, Sandy Point and Steenberg’s Cove.

Stop At: Velddrif, Velddrif, Western Cape
Situated some 2 km upstream from where the Berg River flows into the sea at the Bay of St Helena on the Cape West Coast lies Velddrif. Named after farmer, Theunis Smit, who took his stock through a drift in the veld, to find grazing across the river, which the animals often had to swim across. In 1899, a pont was built, which was the only means of crossing the Berg River. Around 1920 the wheat harvest from the Sandveld was brought down the Berg River to the mouth for storing before being loaded into smaller boats to bigger ships waiting further out, on their way to Cape Town.
The “loading place” eventually became Laaiplek- adjacent to Velddrif. In 1968 engineers blasted a channel, linking the river with St Helena Bay, and the fishing harbour of Laaiplek was completed.
Famous for their lessor Pink Flamingos and Pelikans, excellent surf and rock fishing. Velddrif Accommodation offers visitors a choice of hotels, caravan parks and guest houses
