During pick up from their respective place of accommodation our drive/guide will come to the reception and identify himself. Then he will ask for the lead traveler’s name which was used to book the transfer and drive to safari via the N1 freeway.
The first 30min they drive through residential areas and industrial areas. After that they drive past the farming regions of Stellenbosch and Paarl. On both sides of the road travelers will see beautiful vineyards and the rolling landscape. In the backdrop on both sides are dramatic mountains with jagged edges and massive boulders.

The drive takes you through the 3,9km Hugenout Tunnel which extends the N1 freeway through the Du Toitskloof mountains. These dramatic mountains separate the wine regions of Paarl and Worcester. Through the tunnel the road snakes between these huge mountains all the way to Worcester where you are welcomed by a magnificent valley of vineyards, These vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see ahead of you towards another range of mountains.

After Worcester you drive through De Doorns which is another wine region. A narrow stripped valley known to produce quality grapes producing quality red wines. This is a much warmer climate as you head inland from the cool breeze of the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Town. Past the De Doorns you get to Hex Valley a slightly more expansive region which is known to produce quality grapes for export market only. On the right side is a solar energy farm which is a marvel to watch as the solar panels form a a reflective continuous shiny carpet on the ground.

Past this region you get to Little Karroo which is a semi desert region of South Africa. Travelers will encounter vegetation which consists of assorted succulents and low bushes spaced from one foot to several feet apart. The area is devoid of surface water and its name is derived from the Khoisan word meaning “land of thirst”. After driving for 175 km you take a felt turn into the road which takes you to Ceres a region known to produce citrus fruits.

And after a short 3km drive you get to Aquila Game Reserve where travelers are welcomed with hearty cool drinks in the sweltering heat of the Karoo. After that you head to the huge canteen where you indulge in a mouth watering buffet breakfast before you begin the safari . After safari you also have buffet lunch and an option of dipping yourself into the Olympic size swimming pool then we drive the travelers back to Cape Town via the same route.

Travelers are then dropped off at their respective place of accommodation after a day full of fun excitement and adventure in the African wild.
