Whale Watching Wine Tasting and Penguins From Cape Town - Private Tour


Hermanus is regarded by WWF and Greenpeace as being one of the world's best locations to watch Whales, it holds famous Whale Festivals between the months of June to end of November every year which attracts plenty eager Whale watchers. Southern Right Whales, Humpbacks and Bryde Whales are spotted, with the highest number of 196 Whales ever being viewed in just ONE day. Our whale watching trips take place however, should the whales change their migration schedule (arrive early and leave later) we will adjust our schedule accordingly,  but can be longer depending on how quickly we find the whales.

At the start of the season we launch we put on an extra trip in the morning with a 7am launch and then from September on-wards an extra trip in the afternoon either 3:30pm or if a good sunset is forecasted a trip at 5pm.  The 5pm trip is truly a magnificent experience watching the whales bask in the shallow waters as well as experiencing a stunning Walker Bay sunset.

Hermanus offers some of the world’s best land-based whale watching from the beautiful cliff path which stretches all along the coast.
After a leisurely stroll on the Cliff path to view whales, we enjoy lunch at one of the excellent seaside restaurants.
Then it is time to head on the the Hemel en Aarde Valley for a wine tasting before heading back to Cape Town.
There may be the opportunity to join boat-based whale watching (weather dependent), instead of stopping for a wine tasting.
