MTB – Grazalema Grand Tour – 38km – Moderate or Challenging Level

Ronda Trip Overview

This route is an extension of our Grazalema Natural Park circular ride, providing more singletrack. The Natural Park is a great area for cross-country biking, with dramatic, unspoilt and remote plains surrounded by towering mountain peaks.

The first half of the ride explores the heart of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, a protected region of rocky mountain crags, karst valleys and cork oak forest. A climb up into the first section of cork oak forest offers a good chance of spotting some free-ranging Iberian pigs, then its back down into the valley. After this we head off up into more cork oak forests on a technical section of single track. This leads us in to the Hundidero valley and on to the white village of Montejaque, where we take a quick refreshment stop. We exit the village via the “zigzag path”, a short, steep climb up over the mountain and on to a flat plateau, from where we have great views back towards Ronda. We finish with a fun descent down into the Guadiaro valley.
