Visit: Parc Guell, Carrer d’Olot, 5, 08024 Barcelona Spain

Park Guell is a work of Antoni Gaudí located in the upper part of Barcelona, which has wonderful views of the city. You can enjoy a fantastic green walk surrounded by a modernist works.
Park Güell was born in 1900 from a dream shared by a businessman Eusebi Güell and an architect Antoni Gaudí. The initial intention was to build a residential neighborhood in Barcelona inspired by the British model of the “garden city”. It was precisely for this reason that the industrialist named it Park Güell, in English.
At the entrance Gaudí designed two magnificent pavilions of the porter’s lodge and a large and beautifully ornamented staircase, which led the visitor to a portico, the Hypostyle Hall, designed to host a market inside.
The project has never been realised, but the park stays and forms a dignified part of the city, together with the wonderful works by the great master.
