Stop At: Turó de la Rovira, 08024 Barcelona, Spain

We’ll walk up to the Barcelona Bunkers through a panoramic path. The place is also known as Turó de la Rovira. Along the way I will tell you about the Spanish Civil War and how Barcelona was the key city at that time. During our walk and once we are at the top of the hill you will have the opportunity to take amazing pictures of the whole city, since the hill has a unique 360 degrees view over Barcelona and its surroundings.
The Barcelona’s bunkers were anti aerial installations built by the Spanish Republican Army in 1937 during the Spanish Civil War in order to protect the city from the attacks carried by the Italian and German aviation that supported the Fascist troupes.
The place is very important for the city of Barcelona from an historical point of view and it’s a unique viewpoint over the city.

Stop At: Parque del Guinardo, c. de Garriga i Roca, 1-13, 08041 Barcelona Spain

On our way back we will explore a beautiful terraced park characterized by the presence of the typical Mediterranean vegetation. There I will tell you about the story of Roque-Guinard, a local bandit from the XVII century that used to live in that area, and who was mentioned in the famous book Don Quijote written by Miguel de Cervantes.

Stop At: Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, Sant Antoni Maria Claret, 167, 08025 Barcelona Spain

After that, we’ll walk to Hospital Sant Pau, that is one of the most important modernist monuments in Barcelona and a Unesco World Heritage site. Once there, we’ll contemplate the complexity and the beauty of its facade from the outside.

We will then go back to the meeting point passing through the streets of the Eixample district, a neighborhood that was built in the second half of the XIX century.
