Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVAL MADRID

Pass By: Madrid, Madrid
Upon landing at Madrid’s airport, head to the Arrivals hall where you will find a driver holding a sign with your name on it. You will then be accompanied to the transfer to your hotel, where you can settle in before spending the rest of this first day at your leisure. Perhaps hit the streets and start exploring the many things one can do in this vibrant city, from visiting museums to enjoying a drink and tapas in one of its innumerable bars. Alternately, you can kick back and make the most of the available services at the hotel. In the evening, you can ask your hotel reception for restaurant recommendations to discover Madrid’s highly renowned gastronomy before spending the first night in the hotel. Day 2: MADRID – SEGWAY TOUR

Pass By: Madrid, Madrid
Start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then head out to explore Madrid. Enjoy some free time in the morning to get a feel for the city by yourself. Depending the time you chose for the tour (from 10 am to 8 pm except the period from November to February when the last departure of the tour will start at 6 pm), head to the meeting point of Madrid Segway Tour in Calle Escalinata 10, in front of Plaza de Isabel II (also known as Plaza de Ópera). We recommend you to arrive 15 min in advance in order to set all necessary equipment. Once in the office you will receive Segway, helmet, bag for personal belongings and you will get know your tour escort. We start our route at the glamourous Plaza de Callao, known for being place of putting length and premiere of numerous movies and musicals in Spain (“what happens in Callao happens in Madrid” says its claim), to take the Gran Via, one of the most important arteries of the Madrid’s “Mile of Gold”, the most important commercial and business district of Spain. Later we will cross up to get to Plaza España to meet the statue of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, the acquaintances prominent figures of Michael de Cervantes, and to discover which the first skyscraper of Madrid was. From the Plaza of Spain we will advance for the Paseo del Pintor Rosales to visit one of the most mysterious places of the city: Debod’s Temple, an authentic temple of the Egypt of the Pharaohs that was bequeathed by the Government of Egypt to the Kingdom of Spain as a sign of gratefulness by the collaboration between both countries. From Debod’s Temple we shall leave to the amazing Plaza de Oriente, where, under the attentive look of the First Kings of Spain, we will contemplate the most beautiful royal set that groups the Royal Palace, the Royal Theatre, Sabatini’s Royal Gardens and the Almudena’s Cathedral, mistress of the City of Madrid. The tour will finish after an hour and half at the same place as it started, in front of Plaza de Isabel II. The rest of the day you could spend at leisure and absorbing the spirit of this urban city on your own. Day 3: MADRID

Pass By: Madrid, Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel is followed by a day at your leisure exploring the main attractions of the city. You can start by visiting of El Prado Museum (not included) and deep inside to the fascinating history or Spanish Art. Then continue to Retiro Park, for a picturesque walk along the lake or enjoy a cup of coffee in the heart of Madrid, Plaza Mayor like a local. Overnight in Madrid at The Principal Madrid Hotel or similar (5*) on a bed-and-breakfast basis.

Day 4: DEPARTURE

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy your final day in Spain’s most celebrated tourist destination by visiting museums or galleries, purchasing souvenirs to remind you of your trip, or by simply strolling through its historic, bustling streets. After, depending on your flight details there will be a pick up at the hotel to drop you at the airport to continue to your following destination. Breakfast included.
