Itinerary

Horse riding in the North of Extremadura.

The Sierra de Cabezabellosa configures and combines the Jerte and Ambroz Valleys in its proximity to Plasencia. Providing one of the best views of the western peninsular, an extraordinary location from which you can see, the Sierra de San Bernabé, Monfragüe, Gata, Hurdes, Sierra de Francia, …, and even Portuguese mountain ranges such as the Serra da Estela.
We enjoy a benign climate, which allows us to make equestrian itineraries throughout the year and each season gives its particular charm. A remarkable landscape orography inhabited by a rich biodiversity will make this an unforgettable visit.

Route I – The Millennium Forest (Duration: 1, 2 or 3 Hours).
More than 5,000 years ago the first settlers of Cabezabellosa learned to take advantage of the pastures and the fruits of the forest. The pasture is born in Extremadura. The Vetton granitic stacks of this place are silent witnesses outside the evolution of the times.
If the cathedrals are inspired by forests, the place through which this itinerary runs, La Heésa, could well be a living temple for those Celts who worshiped nature.
