Itinerary

Day 1: Negombo/Colombo – Deniyaya

Stop At: Sinharaja Forest Reserve, Sinharaja Rainforest, Deniyaya 81500, Sri Lanka
Sinharaja Rain Forest a very important, UNESCO named world heritage site and Biosphere reserve. Sinharaja is one of the most important bio diversity hotspot in Sri Lank The hilly virgin rainforest, part of the Sri Lanka lowland rain forests was saved from the worst of commercial logging by its inaccessibility, and was designated a World Biosphere Reserve in 1978 and a World Heritage Site in 1988. The reserve’s name translates as Kingdom of the Lion. Join this 5-hour private guided excursion to one of Sri Lanka’s UNESCO World heritage sites, Sinharaja Rain Forest Reserve. During this hike, you have the opportunity to see Sri Lanka’s rarest flora and fauna and endemic species of birds and reptiles

Day 2: Deniyaya

Stop At: Patna Devision Deniyaya Sliding Rock, Enasalwaththa Rd, Sri Lanka
Most of the people called Patna as a “Sliding Rock “. Yes of course it is a sliding rock which made by nature naturally. This amazing spot is located at ” Deniyaya “. It is in Matara District, Sri Lanka. Beacuse of the biodiversity, it is famous not only local people but also foreign people too. Patna is a coolest destination for every travellers. There are so many tree varieties and it helps to cool the environment too. At this location the river flows over a number of wide rocks with gentle slopes and at end of the each rock lies a shallow pool. Due to the gentle water flow over the smooth rock surface, number of natural water slides are created on the rock

Stop At: Maduwanwela Walawwa, Embilipitiya-Panamure-Bulutota Rd, Suriyakanda Sri Lanka
The Maduwanwela Walawwa was first built by Maduwanwela Maha Mohottala in the 1700s and it was expanded at times by the Maduwanwela family until 1905 when the final expansion was done by Maduwanwela Maha Disawe. At its height it had over 121 rooms and 80 000 acres of land surrounding it, at present there are on 47 rooms left. Located on in the grounds is a courthouse with seating space for 100 people, furniture and the equipment used for punishments are still present. Following the death of Maduwanwela Maha Disawe the last of the Maduwanwela family, the house was passed to Sir Francis Molamure. In 1974, it was transferred to the state and taken over by the Department of Archaeological and converted into a museum. One of the most remarkable and awe inspiring facets in the interior of the Walawwa are the paved floors which have been laid out in a mosaic style with chipped tiles bought over from the Netherlands.

Stop At: Galdola Ella Falls, Galle-Deniyaya-Madampe Highway, Rakwana 70300 Sri Lanka
The Galdola Ella fall originates from a tributary of the Rakwana River, which flows down the eastern slope of Suriyakanda Mountain, in the Sinharaja forest reserve. The water courses over rock-strewn terrain and at times the flow is submerged by rocky outcrops. This profusion of rocks gives the fall its name (‘Dola’ means rock pool).

Day 3: Deniyaya – UdawalawaNegombo/Colombo

After entering the national park with your guide in a jeep, you will be able to spot several species of birds and other animals that have made their homes in this sanctuary. You will be taken through most of the Udawalawe National Park, covering the wetlands, grasslands, forest patches, etc. We will make longer stops at certain watering holes for unique photography opportunities
