You will take an exciting gastronomic trail through a traditional Sri Lankan village brimming with nature, wild vegetation, and water streams. Through the trail, you will meet a Sri Lankan family and experience the culture of the traditional Sri Lankan and their food as they explain the intricate, age-old cooking process of the various food items which were passed down and preserved through generations. These vegetables are hand-picked from the wild and cooked on the same day.

Fresh and organic traditional meals will soothe your taste buds full of Sri Lankan flavor. Through the trail, you will pass through many natural water streams flowing through the village side that are perfect for relaxing swims to destress and slow down from the usual fast pace life. You will get to experience unique meals and drinks made with exotic fruits and vegetables like the ‘Tumeric Tea’ and various dishes such as ‘Hal Pittu’ and ‘Hal Halapa’ made with the Hal fruit (A fruit which is going extinct).

As this is a gastronomical experience, besides the food, you will get to experience a whole new lifestyle and a culture that is healthy and organic which has existed in Sri Lanka for centuries.

• Tumeric Tea – A unique Tea made with Tumeric and coconut milk served with treacle, jaggery, and pepper (which helps absorbs the many healthy properties of Tumeric).
• Hal Pittu / Rotti – A unique indigenous dish made from ‘Hal fruit’ which is a fruit that is on the verge of going extinct but is preserved by us.
• Country Rice Red or White) – The traditional Rice served with a multitude of vegetables listed down below which are 100% fresh, organic, and plucked and gathered on the same day!
• Kottamba Maluwa – A local indigenous vegetable gathered from the wild and served when in season.
• Thembu Kola Sambal – A local indigenous vegetable gathered from the wild and served when in season.
• Ala Goba Maluwa – A local indigenous vegetable gathered from the wild and served when in season.
• Kiri Hodi (Gravy) – A special Sri Lankan gravy commonly made in most households. The intricate, age-old cooking process is demonstrated by our lady chef as she cooks.
