Stop At: Sigiriya Rock Hide, WQV5+JPX, Sigiriya, Sri Lanka
Get picked up from your hotel early morning and travel to Sigiriya to climb the rock fortress which was built by King Kashyapa in the 5th century. It has an incredible architecture featuring water gardens, cave and boulder gardens, terraced gardens, frescoes, a mirror wall and many more interesting features. Sigiriya rock fortress is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best preserved surviving ancient urban sites in Asia from the 1st millennium or simply it’s a Living Museum. Once you finish climbing this giant rock fortress you’ll be having lunch at a local restaurant.

Stop At: Dambulla Cave Temple, Jaffna Hwy, Habarana 50150 Sri Lanka
After lunch, proceed to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple which is also know as the Golden Temple of Dambulla. It is the most impressive and the best preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The temple is a living Buddhist site that is focused on a series of five cave shrines carved with a drip line to keep the interiors dry. In 1938 the architecture was embellished with arched colonnades and gabled entrances. Inside the caves, the ceilings are painted with intricate patterns of religious images following the contours of the rock. There are images of the Lord Buddha and bodhisattvas, as well as various gods and goddesses. On completion of this visit you’ll be driven back to your hotel in Negombo.
