The lake named after Alexander the Great (known as Iskander in the East), that makes it more interesting to visit. You are not just going to visit this lake alone, however you will visit Snake lake, walk to powerful Fann mountains waterfall famous as Fann's Niagara. Besides that, all the way from Dushanbe to Iskanderkul lake and back, you will enjoy great landscapes and sceneries of Fann mountains range, Varzob Gorge and rivers.
