Stop At: Firtina Deresi, Ardesen 2 km batisinda, Rize 53100 Turkey
Our day tour starts with picking up our guests from their hotel and drive to Fırtına River. We’ll take a tea break in here and our guests can attend to Zipline activites (Optional)
Firtina is known as storm in English. Firtina Valley (Storm Valley) is 57 km long has always been a popular destination for both local and international tourists with its high flow and the bridges accompanying it all over its course. You can watch the canoeing and rafting races as you have your freshly brewed tea by the valley. The valley is among the 200 ecological zones that must be protected in the world.

After Fırtına River, we’ll visit Historical Şenyuva Village.Senyuva (Cinviva) Village, which hosted series and commercials. In Şenyuva, we visit old wooden and stone houses, Historical Çinçiva Stone Arch Bridge and Sevdaluk Turkish TV Series.

Our next stop will be Pokut & Sal Highlands. After about an hour’s journey, we arrive at the Pokut Highland at an altitude of 2050 m and enjoy the unique view. We give you free time for lunch and to discover the plateau. And then we take a half hour walk for Sal Highland. We photograph the Kaçkar Mountains, Pokut Highland and the magnificent nature and then we leave the Pokut and Sal Highlands.

We return to Şenyuva Village and continue our journey to the depths of Fırtına (Storm) Valley. We start our return journey after visiting Palovit Waterfall with the highest flow in the region. With its high flow of water, Palovit Waterfall has the most magnificent scenery in Rize. This famous waterfall in a lush green forest falls from about 15 m high. This natural wonder, located in an extremely virgin area, cannot form a large pond despite its strong bed.

Then we’ll visit the historical Zilkale with its dominant stance on the valley. The castle is built at an altitude of 1,130 m (3,710 ft), and sits at the edge of a cliff overlooking the Fırtına River (Turkish: Fırtına Deresi) approximately 380 m (1,250 ft) below, running at an elevation of 750 m (2,460 ft) southeast of it.
It is believed that the castle was built between the 14th and 15th centuries. The castle consists of the outer walls, middle walls and the inner castle. There are garrison quarters, and a possible chapel and head tower. According to Anthony Bryer, it is an Armenian chapel that was built by the Empire of Trebizond for the local Lord of HamshenisAfter our tour, we’ll head back to Trabzon and drop off our guests at their hotels.
