Leave your centrally located Dubai hotel in the early evening in your private, air-conditioned vehicle. Then, zoom out of the city to your desert destination – a oasis site in the grounds of a private retreat owned by the local royal family.

After about an hour, arrive at the camp and swap your minivan for your private safari vehicle: a vintage 1950s Land Rover. Then, with your private guide at the wheel, head into the surrounding desert in search of nocturnal wildlife.
With your torches illuminating the way, roam the desert as your guide tells you about the animals that become active in the cool temperatures and cover of darkness. Drink in the deep silence and cool desert air, both refreshing contrasts to the heat and bustle of Dubai. Keep a close watch on the headlight beams and use the night-vision binoculars provided to detect movements and zoom in on any animals.
