Ascend the steep ‘Struggle’ road and hopefully see some highland cows and Herdwick sheep on the way to the Kirkstone Inn.
Stop for 15 minutes for photos of the mountain pass and a drink at The Kirkstone Inn.
Continue through the historic village of Troutbeck to Windermere or Bowness On Windermere.
