Stop At: Stonehenge, Amesbury SP4 7DE England
You will be collected from your hotel in Bath (or the Bath railway station) and will be driven to Stonehenge in a private car. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes. At Stonehenge your private guide will take you on a tour of the ancient stone circle. Your guide will explain about its history, how archaeologists believe it was constructed and will tell you interesting stories behind the site. There will be plenty of opportunities for photos.
After exploring Stonehenge you will be driven back to Bath stopping on route for lunch in a historic English pub.

After lunch you will be driven to a great viewpoint over the city of Bath. The tour continues with a private walking tour in the centre of Bath. Your guide, who was born and grew up in Bath, will show you all of the city’s famous landmarks and will tell you interesting stories about these and the city. You will also be shown the location of the city’s hot springs – without these Bath would not be the city that it is today.
During the tour there will not be time to go inside any of the museums in Bath e.g. the Roman Baths but your guide will happily point these out and give you some insider tips should you wish to visit these during your stay.

You will hear about the fascinating history behind the Bath Abbey.

You will hear about the Roman’s impact on Bath and the famous Roman Baths. We do not go inside the Roman Baths Museum.

You will visit the beautiful Circus which has an interesting connection to Stonehenge.
