Itinerary

We offer epic opportunities for Heli Hiking in Alaska—just minutes from Anchorage!
After a safety briefing and gear check, you’ll board the helicopter and whisk off to the alpine meadows, well above timberline. The helicopter will drop you off in the high country where spectacular scenery surrounds you. Together with your guide, you determine ahead of time how long and strenuous you wish your hike to be. Some people just want to stretch their legs and take pictures for a few hours while others want to scramble all the way to the top of one of the peaks and spend up to 4 hours in the mountains. For photographers, helicopter hiking is the perfect tour option because you can take all your gear, set it up, and wait for the perfect light without being rushed. Our guides for the photo trips are professional Alaskan photographers that can teach even the most seasoned enthusiast a couple of new tricks. June is mating season for the bears and they’ll be very active after a long winter hibernation. In July and August, you can expect endless wildflowers, while September is berries season and a great time to experience the vibrant colors of fall in Alaska.
