Itinerary

The tour will take approximately two hours depending on your pace. Just pause the audio guide whenever you fancy spending longer at a sight, grabbing a bite to eat or doing some shopping along the way.

Make your way to the Ketchikan Visitors’ Bureau to begin your tour.

There are many great sights to see in Ketchikan. Here are just a few.

Highlight One: At the Deer Mountain Tribal Hatchery and Eagle Centre, feed the fish, sample salmon products, observe the eagles up-close, and get acquainted with the culture of the native Southeast Alaskans.

Highlight Two: Spend a couple of hours at the Totem Heritage Centre exploring the poles and learning about the Tlingit, Tsimshian, and Haida Native cultures.

Highlight Three: Dolly’s House is located on Creek Street and is a step back in time, to when the street was the Red Light District of Ketchikan.

Highlight Four: The Tongass Historical Museum gives a nice overview of how the logging and fishing industries and the local First Nation cultures influenced the history of Ketchikan.
