The Kern River Parkway Bike Trail spans over 30 miles of park-studded expanse. On it, you will see local wildlife, ride or hike up to vistas, be able to access many parts of Bakersfield with the least amount of car exposure, and hang out by a lake on either end (Lake Ming, and Lake Buena Vista.) There is access to this Bike Trail right behind our shop. You can take a picnic with you in provided bike bags.
Tell us what sort of experience and difficulty level you are interested in, and we can draw up a route that can hit all of those notes for you!
Bring a helmet, if you desire, but we shall have helmets (kept clean and sanitary, like our bikes) available as well.
All riders (except for children in carriers) must present government-issued ID and sign a rental waiver.
Children 1-6 must sit in either our rentable rear-mounted child seat ($20/day) or rear-mounted child trailer. A child seat and trailer can fit on one bike. These are included in the child/infant price.
Maximum weight for child seat: 40 lbs
Maximum weight for child trailer: 100 lbs total; It can fit two children within that net weight limit.
If you are getting tickets for children, please also enter number of children/infants and one adult into the child carrier option in addition to filling out the main number of adults.
These tickets are for the half-day option (3 hours.) Please see other rental listing for the full-day option (6-7 hours.)
