Spend 8 Hours in Yosemite Valley on Day 2. Eco friendly, Ideal if you are independent and like the freedom to self explore. We provide a sightseeing map. Relaxed travel on comfortable train with cafe car, electric outlets and restrooms. Stay the night at hotel of your choice in Merced. Next morning full size bus takes you up to Yosemite. You see Merced River, Arch Rock, Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, Sentinel Rock, and Yosemite Falls. Past the Chapel crossing the Sentinel Bridge you see the iconic Half Dome. Lunch available at Visitor Center. See Ansel Adams Gallery, Yosemite Theater and American Native Village of The Ahwahneechee. Easy 15 to 30 minutes walk east towards Happy Isles and Mirror Lake or west towards to Yosemite Valley Lodge. Time to take a short hike. Board the bus to Merced in time to connect with the train.

Day 1: Train ride from Emeryville to Merced.
Pass By: Stockton, Stockton, California
Leave San Francisco in the afternoon and then board the train for a relaxing ride through Stockton to Merced. Relaxing train ride through Delta area.

Day 2: Yosemite Valley
Stop At: Yosemite National Park, Yosemite National Park, California
Coming on Highway 140 through El Portal past Arch Rock Entrance you see the cliffs on both sides of the Merced River Canyon. Crossing the river going on South Side Road Bridal Veil Fall and Leaning Tower are visible. Looming across the Valley is the huge El Capitan monolith. Driving further you see Cathedral Rocks, Sentinel Rock, Half Dome and Clouds Rest. Yosemite Falls is seen on the left and past Yosemite Chapel crossing the Sentinel Bridge you see the iconic Half Dome. Entering the Village the bus makes a short stop at the Visitor Center to see Ansel Adams Gallery, Yosemite Theater, American Indian village of The Ahwahnee and Yosemite Falls.
It is easy to spend 7 hours visiting all the Valley highlights. No strenuous hiking. You can take a short walk for about thirty minutes from Visitor Center area to Ahwahnee Measow to see Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and Yosemite Valley Lodge.
