This tour departs from south Marco Island during the best tidal times to travel into the Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge during sunset. Tours last 2 to 3 hours depending on sunset. Your naturalist guides will lead you at a comfortable pace into the Ten Thousand Islands through large open mangrove lined waterways making stops along the way at pristine island beaches for a nice break and to enjoy shelling opportunities. As sunset approaches, you will paddle out to an ocean inlet of the Gulf of Mexico for an opportunity to view an expansive gorgeous Florida sunset from the waters edge! During your travels, enjoy great opportunities to encounter and learn about: dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, crabs, conch, whelk, sea urchins, seashells, oyster beds, starfish, mangroves, fish, birds & more! After the sun has set, your guide will lead you back during nautical twilight where the softly lit sky is filled with awesome colors and marine life continue to thrive.

The Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) is actually located off the coast of southern Marco Island, FL. Your tour will begin in Marco Island, FL and will return to this same location in Marco Island, FL (see more details above). Kayaking distance is approximately 2 miles (just the right amount for beginner level kayaking). When you arrive for your tour, our certified coastal naturalist guides will meet you out front to help you prepare for your fun kayak adventure. See your email within 12 hours after booking for directions to your tour and for the start time of your tour. (Start times change everyday because, they are based on the tide. You can visit our online booking calendar to view our start times in advance. We are unable to list different daily start times here).
