The 65,000-square-foot Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center is a museum that serves as a memorial to families that perished during the Holocaust and the additional millions lost but also where young minds learn the terrible dangers of prejudice and hatred.

When coming to the Museum, visitors have a range of experiences to explore. They can meet virtual Holocaust Survivors at the Museum’s Abe & Ida Cooper Survivor Stories Experience exhibition, featuring our holographic theater, where technology enables Survivor holograms to tell their deeply moving personal stories and respond to questions from the audience, inviting visitors to a personalized, one-on-one conversation. They also can explore 2 temporary exhibits, the Take a Stand Center, our core Karkomi Holocaust Exhibition and our children’s exhibition, Make A Difference! The Harvey L. Miller Family Youth Exhibition, for ages 8-12 and with a focus on character education.
