Your guides, Manuel and Peter, are both local natives who’ve spent our lives familiarizing ourselves with local ecosystems, geology, plants, animals and recreation opportunities, and find joy in sharing our knowledge with guests of all backgrounds. Both having studied Earth and Environmental Science, trained in Wilderness First Response, and 5+ years of guiding experience, we are equipped to keep you safe and answer your questions as we explore our epic surroundings. We started Stök Outfitters in 2017 with the goal of connecting guests with the wealth of natural wonders in and around Portland. We aim for the highest quality experiences that highlight our region, with an emphasis on connecting with nature in ways that excite all 5 senses and create memories to last a lifetime!

Itinerary
On this Enchanted Waterfalls Hike we will venture into the foothills of the Cascade mountains, enjoying a beautiful scenic drive through the countryside before reaching our trailhead. Once on location we will hike “The Crown Jewel of Oregon”, Silver Falls.
This breathtaking ~5mi loop, true hiking adventure leads us down a well established path, suitable for both beginner and seasoned hikers alike. Emotions come alive as we immerse ourselves in the moss covered forest and venture behind a towering 177ft waterfall and watch as the crystal clear water crashes to the ground, before continuing on our journey passing 7 unique waterfalls in total. Along our path we may discuss native plants, animals, landscape topography and ecosystem functions in a natural and fluid manner. Before reaching the trails end we will pass through a stand of old growth forest, peering up at 250ft tall trees dating to over a thousand years old.
Once back at the trailhead we will enjoy our final glimpse of the forest in the company of our newfound friends. When the last photo has been taken and the energy of this magical land has been fully realized, we will make the return journey to Portland!
