Itinerary
This day trip will take us to the areas less visited within the park. We will drive from the south entrance up the switchbacks along the Mt. Carmel Highway and through the Mt. Carmel Tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, we will hike to the Zion Canyon overlook offering incredible scenery, and views of the West Temple. After the overlook hike, we will enjoy a fresh picnic of Cured meats, local cheese, organic fruits and veggies, and artisan crackers (Delicious Vegan and Vegetarian Meals Upon Request). After lunch, we will continue exploring the eastern section of Zion by way of the Pine Creek Wash and/or Pine Creek Waterfall (some light scrambling required). After finishing our day in Zion Canyon between 4:00-5:00pm, we will journey back to Salt Lake City, arriving between 8:30-9:30pm. Please note: The itinerary may be changed to fit the needs of individual travelers.
