Itinerary

On this half-day tour to Zion National Park, we will get to visit the eastern fork of the canyon. We drive the Mt. Carmel Highway switchbacks which offer incredible views of the canyon and formations, including the West Temple. At the top of the switchbacks, we will drive through the Mt. Carmel Tunnel, carved through solid sandstone. We will take the easy rated Canyon Overlook Trail, where we will hike and enjoy a delicious charcuterie picnic lunch of cured meats, fine cheeses, artisan crackers, and seasonal fruits. After the hike and picnic, we will continue north through the canyon, admiring the sandstone formations, keeping lookout for Desert Big Horn Sheep, and end at the beautiful Checkerboard Mesa. We will then begin our journey back to St. George/Springdale.
