Hoi An Trip Overview

After our pick-up at your accommodation, let’s grab some Bánh Mì and sit down at a local Vietnamese coffee shop hidden in an alley to have full energy for the day.

Having a quick glimpse of a traditional pottery village on a bank of the Champa’s sacred river, we will immerse ourselves into local lives by zig-zagging through the countryside villages with rivers, paddy fields, and so on.

We will spend around 1.5 hours there to learn about the Champa civilization’s history, culture, and amazing art of architecture that have been there for the last one thousand years. After that, we will stop by a restaurant for lunch with Quảng noodles which is a famous local food from rice, vegetables, chicken, and unique soft noodle soup.

Stop At: Thanh Ha Pottery Village, Pham Phan, Thanh Ha, Hoi An 560000 Vietnam

We will stop by a traditional pottery village that has been there for over 400 years. Villagers have been making pottery here for over 400 years, and most still use a two-man pottery wheel. The kilns are red brick ovens built in the backyards of simple riverfront homes. So the smell of cooking terracotta permeates through town, thrusting visitors back to simpler times. The village is equipped with all kinds of activities for visitors including a museum with ever-changing exhibits and history, pottery-making workshops, a temple, and hands-on pottery-making experiences.

Stop At: Hoi An Ancient Town, Hoi An 560000 Vietnam

To start our day, we’ll have Vietnamese coffee at a local coffee shop hidden in an alley in town. Mention Vietnam to anyone, and the conversation might conjure up a few things – the beautiful scenery, the tragic war, the chaotic, thrilling big cities. But as someone who has spent much time traveling through Vietnam, there’s one thing for me that stands out as synonymous with the country, and that’s the burgeoning coffee culture that has taken hold.

All the interesting stories of coffee will be told by our guides.
